SETTING
This story takes place in an unnamed fantasy country reminiscent of Ancient Greece or similar ancient nations. It is rarely mentioned by name in "canon", but for the ease of RP'ing, we can call it, Middleland, when needed.
Middleland is a large nation situated on the peninsula of the continent it's part of. It is surrounded by ocean on two out of three sides, a large mountain range to the northeast separating it from its nearest neighbour. It is made up of independent city states that exist with own government and various political stances on topics ranging from economy to labour forces to human rights. Recently, a small army of women warriors have waged war on various cities throughout Middleland in an effort to avoid dictatorships and injustice.
HISTORY
After her parents' death, it was just her and her brother, the stall, the silver jewellery he made and the flaxen string she wove on which to put it. She made a life like that, under the watchful eye of her city's king, and for a long time, Hiracha thought it was enough, because she didn't know better. She was a kind girl, because she thought being kind was enough, too.
Then, one day, at the river, she met the Amazon, a travelling warrior on her way home from war, and they exchanged kindnesses that made the Amazon stay in her city over summer. From her, Hiracha learned self-defense, how to wield a weapon, how to take a life, and she realized it gave her a power she had never had before and which she was keen to never lose again.
So, once the Amazon went about her travels again, Hiracha fixed her eyes on the king of the city, she fixed her dagger on him as well, though to get close enough to wield it, she had to seduce him first. A small price to pay, she thought, to dismantle his seat of power and build a new one, her own. She led a revolution in the city, taking the king down, leaving her society in chaos, and her answer was to put herself in charge, not to make a queen of herself, but a new king. The same structure could turn out to be good, she believed, if only led by a new leader, because it was not the system that was flawed, it was the people that had been in charge of it so far.
She was going to lead her city to see a new day.
Yet, her city was going to discover, that all days look the same.
